The First Anniversary Memorial Symposium
of i-Energy Working Group

i-Energy WG has achieved significant progress since its inauguration in May last year; the number of registered members has increased
three-fold in the past year, international collaborations have been established, and Kansai Science City was selected
as one of four “Next-Generation Energy and Social Systems Demonstration Areas” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
through the joint proposal of i-Energy WG and Kyoto Prefecture in April this year. In order to make these achievements open to public
and to promote our research, development, and social activities, we plan to hold the first anniversary memorial symposium, as follows.

    Smart Tap and its application

    [Tour of Smart Condominium Unit]
     Smart taps are installed on all home appliances in a condominium unit
     (Genius Muromachi, located south of Shijo Karasuma, 33. 2 m2).
     Demonstrations will be given of aspects such as visualization of energy consumption, learning of human activity patterns,
    application of security monitoring of residents and home appliances, and automatic recognition of home appliances,
    in a real-life situation.
    The tour will be conducted with groups of ten people. No more than one hundred and twenty people can take this tour,
    due to the limited time available.
    Please note that we may have to select applicants if the number of registrations exceeds the quota,
    so that as many people as possible from different institutions can attend the tour.
